| Description | By the early 1970s Mac an Bheatha was regularly contributing personal columns and feature articles to "The Irish Times", "The Irish Press", the monthly "An tUltach", and other Irish daily newspapers. He seems to have collected his press work only sporadically; it survives mostly for 1971 to 1973 and for 1988 to 1990, in drafts and press cuttings. The main themes are the Irish language, trade unionism and socialism, Ireland in the European Community. Special series contributed to "Inniu" were themed on the European Economic Community (1976-1980) and on the heroes of 1798 (1968). |
